Here's a thing modern inside salespeople often don't understand: the power of good old-fashioned salesmanship.
Yes, sales is a rapidly changing field. You need to keep up with new developments. You can't just execute a 1990's playbook and expect to win. The pace of change will only accelerate in the coming years, much of it driven by technology.
But there's a lot of value in studying old-school sales approaches, like door-to-door sales.
